Keys to Work differs from traditional staffing companies in that we have developed unique public / private partnerships that allow us to provide high quality services at a reduced price to the employer, the end user of our product. We also differ from traditional human service providers in that we see you, the employer as our customer and will not burden you with undue government regulations or forms.

Our programs require the participants to exhibit responsible behavior to access assistance. The better an employee does, the more help they will receive from Keys to Work, Inc. This is in sharp contrast to other government programs that require the client to be in crisis in order to receive help. The Keys to Work system helps the client to exhibit responsible behavior and rewards participants that work and maintain employment.

Our allies include the State of Indiana, The City of Indianapolis and the Indianapolis Private Industry Council. Our program provides a wide array of supports for both the employer and the employee. Among the assistance available:

a. Wage Subsidy allows Keys to Work to pay the wage and fringe for a qualified employee. The employer pays an hourly fee of around $3.00 per hour.
b. Tools and Uniforms - allows for the purchase of tools, uniforms, work clothes or other needed items so that qualified employees can effectively function at the worksite. There is no additional cost for the employer
c. Transportation allows for transportation assistance so that the employee can reach the worksite.
d. Financial Planning assists the employee with budgeting and financial planning.
e. Housing Assistance helps qualified employees who maintain employment to receive one month of housing assistance per year.
f. Utility Assistance helps qualified employees with payments for utilities. Employee must maintain employment to receive this assistance
g. Case Management Each participant has a case manager who assists the employee with the various activities of daily living. The employer also has access to the case manager and can request specialized assistance as needs arise.
